Winter Painting

Winter near Great Head, oil/linen 16x14 in.

Today:  Rain. Areas of fog this afternoon. Breezy with highs in the upper 40s. Southeast winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Just a week ago there was fresh white stuff on the ground and winter was still full on. This was a fun little painting to do. As we head into spring here on the island, the surrounding waters are quite cold and we may yet see some good snowfall although it tends to melt away quickly under the spring sun.

I had a meeting this morning with the folks from the Islesford Dock. My paintings will be there during the upcoming summer season.
