I worked like a demon today, laying the paint in. I hope to finish it up in the morning. Work has been going along at a very good clip lately. I’ve been able to streamline my process through the aid better work/thought modalities.

Crows, drawn and painted
I’ve added a page to this site that gathers all the crow images and puts them in a single location.
Enjoy!
Crow, creeping.

Spruce Study, graphite & chalk on toned paper
I‘ve finally gotten around to finishing up a few remaining bits in this drawing. It’s a painting site in Acadia National Park that I really treasure. Even at the height of the summer tourist season, this out of the way spot offers peace and quiet.

Other crow friends…
You’ll have to excuse the lousy image quality here. This painting lives inside a cottage on an island and is NAILED to the wall. Yes, it’s a Fairfield Porter painting of the crow Fairfield befriended and nursed back to health after it was injured. Perhaps not the the best photo of a painting, but I only had an Ipod touch with me at the time and the light was very poor. Couldn’t do much about the light because, well, nailed to the damned wall.
At any rate, seeing this painting was a wonderful discovery. Fairfield Porter, fellow crow fancier.
