Eagle

Bald Eagle, Haliaeetus leucocephalus, pencil and chalk on toned board

Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke just overturned a federal ban on hunting with lead ammunition in national parks and wildlife refuges.
Bald eagles are frequent victims of lead poisoning from ammunition, ingesting bullet fragments as they pick at scavenged carcasses. Other scavengers that have been documented as being affected by lead in this manner include golden eagles, hawks, ravens, turkey vultures, the California condor and grizzly bears.
